Perfect, thanks for the feedback!

Not sure it is the same problem as the one I reported, but try to use IP address instead of computer name. I was able to fix all my connexion problems, even if I do not like depending on fixed ip addesses

Yes that´s it.
The Veyon Master should be able to lock or unlock a Computer (Veyon Client) without being able to see what the connected user ist doing.

Thank you for your feedback and your tests! They'll help us to investigate this issue and hopefully find a solution for the next release.

Yes, just confirming Windows was set to not display last signed-in user.

I have no other ideas at the moment.

Students have Read access to Veyon$, but do the student computers have access to Veyon$?.

Thank you for sharing your solution! The troubles you had might be related to https://github.com/veyon/veyon/issues/761 so until 4.6.1 is released you could try again with computer groups and make sure the nested groups option is not enabled.

So, to make sure I understand correctly, an incremental upgrade is ok? Like, I can install 4.1.3 to the master, but not to the clients and it will be ok? Does 4.1.3 need to ever be installed to the clients for any improvement?

That is unfortunate 😞 I think powering off computers automatically at the end of the workday would be a very useful addition. Especially nowadays, when saving electricity is a priority.

It a painful, but i manage to get my keyboard back. It wasn't working in safe mode, I try the repair option, it took some times but my laptop is working again. I haven't get the chance to re-install Veyon on it because it start working just in time for class. I'll try to "clean" the laptop before trying to re-install Veyon.

3 hours later I can confirm that the laptop is working as a charm and I was able to install Veyon on it.

I encountered a crash of acrobat reader dc when the 32bits version of veyon is installed on a windows 7 64 bits ... but
  only when a user is logged in, if it is an administrator no worries ...
I installed the 64bits version of veyon on the same computer, and acrobat reader DC works whatever the logged in user

Unfortunately I can't give an update or ETA since we were busy with Veyon 4.x and the add-ons this year. It's still planned to release Veyon 5 next year including basic Android support.

I know that Win7 is no longer updated .. but I am a teacher and administrator of a high school.
until last year the delivery of computers was still in win7 (license W10 downgrade to W7)
I have about 1300 computers including about 1000 under W7 ..
I paid a few hours to maintain the network (this is not my main job, since I am a teacher).
the objective is to pass to W10 the whole computer park but it will be done in time ... because I do not have that to do ... (creation of accounts, software update, WSUS, server anti-virus ... impossible to migrate 1000 computers in a short time ... because I have some licensed software, the installation time is 2 / 3H per computer and in some sectors it is 2 or 3 software to install by machine ...
I found a solution that suits me for the moment

The service is really restartet... I tried several ways.
Restartet in services.msc
Restartet in the configurator in the service tab
Restartet with cmd
Everything is done with an administrator or also with the system account.

I also tested the access right in the configurator... By checking the username... Before press apply the user don't have the right to access, but the user group from AD is already set... After pressing apply and restart the configurator the same user can access.

This can be repoduced everytime the config will imported again.
