Thank you for your answer. I have a question? Can I have the "wake on lan " mode in old computers with no "wake on lan" mode in bios through any software?

Hello @tobydox To make sure no one could enter a Teacher's computer and to make it easier for us, we just selected the option "Restrict access to members of specific user groups" and we left the "Authorized user groups" empty. It worked really well, and now no one can access a Teacher's computer. But a new problem has arised, and it is a constant flickering of all of the screen items (windows, menus, sidebards, ...) from all other apps running (we are using Windows 10). When we select back the previous configuration option "Grant access to every authenticated user" the flickering stops. (Update: Flickering also happens if I move all the groups to the "Authorized user groups" and also if we select the option of "Process access control rules" (even with no rules at all). The only option that makes no flickering happen is the default one - "Grant access to every authenticated user" ) Any idea what could this be? We want to configure the system so no user can access a teacher's computer while he/she is working on it. Regards, Iván

i feel such a fool hahaha in the faq section i found the answer!!! How can I broadcast the screen of a student to all other screens? If you want to transfer a student’s screen instead of your own screen in demo mode, first activate demo mode for all computers. Then stop demo mode for the student to be performing the demo using the context menu. Finally open the remote view for the students computer. This will transfer the remote view window - and therefore the student’s screen - to all other computers.

@tobydox That's good news! Then 4.3.0 it is. Looking forward to upgrading from 2.0.2! We will deploy in about 1 week so let me know if 4.3.1 release is imminent. Also once we have 4.3 .0 installed is it easy to update to future releases or do we need to enter all the host names and MAC addresses again?

There is also an issue that students are given multiple prompts for access when performing single actions, especially monitoring. If the student selects "Yes" to all these prompts instead of always allow, the instructor can lock the machine, and the student becomes unable to approve the next prompt that comes up when the instructor tries to unlock it due to the interrupt driver.

Are these computers hidden behind a gateway, i.e. the router is configured to perform NAT? If so they simply can't be reached from the outside net. You can verify this easily: try to ping the affected computers which will not work if NAT is in effect.

@BintuGomes said in Basic veyon setup: lab. They should all be running Windows except the server which will likely be a linux box acting as a Windows server. I am planning on adding veyon. I have never used it before and would like some pointers just to think about it correctly when i read how to set it up. Basically, where does it get setup, and how does the teacher view it. 토토사이트 I am assuming the server gets set up on the server, the client on every machine including the teacher's, and somehow the teacher can be designated as such to control it. Is that correct? Also, i figure it would be best on a second monitor (if her computer supports it; i have not seen the computers yet) to be dedicated to viewing the students screens. Is this correct? Thank you my issue has been solved,...
