The official Veyon PPA also contains 32 bit packages: https://launchpad.net/~veyon/+archive/ubuntu/stable

    Hi @curtis

you can enable the setting "Enforce selected mode for client computers" in the master settings, see https://docs.veyon.io/projects/admin-manual/en/latest/reference.html#behaviour for details. This will Veyon Master tell clients to switch to the designated mode on every (re-)connect.

I use Veyon at home as a console for all my Virtual Machines (instead of having to run VMWare console or VNC or RDP). It's great.

    Hi Marco,

I reply in English so that everyone can understand the post - I hope that's OK with you.

Adding status overlay icons is a nice suggestion. We'll think about it even though it probably won't be implemented in the short term except there's a code contribution or sponsored development. At least the current active feature(s) is always displayed in the tooltip of a computer so if unsure either look at the tooltip or simply click the "Overview" button in the toolbar (again) which will always stop any active features on all computers.

The same applies for locking input devices only without blaking the screen. We hope to have this in Veyon 5.

Running the demo mode on computers which no users are logged on is not possible and technically very difficult so it's very unlikely to find a solution here.

    Best regards
    Tobias

You could try to increase the thumbnail update interval as documented at http://docs.veyon.io/en/latest/admin/reference.html#basic-settings

    Hi @Tomek
this kind of functionality currently is not in the scope of Veyon and I don't have an idea how we could implement that without making the current user interface of Veyon Master more complex. Do you have a proposal?

    Hi @DrewLoker,
currently broadcasting with more than 1 screen is not working properly because either only the primary screen is transmitted (if dual monitor support is disabled) or all screens. We hope to get this improved in future releases 🙂

Thank you for your feedback! Even though I understand your objection, enabling/disabling features in Veyon Master is mainly intended to allow administrators to keep the user interface simple. It's not some sort of permission control because it's also possible to use remote control from the CLI.

    Hello @Lmarchica
this is still on our roadmap but we do not have enough development resources at the moment to get this done soon.

The positions/sizes are currently not stored but we could possibly implement that. Please open an issue at our issue tracker.

Thanks for the suggestion! Code contributions to make this configurable are welcome 🙂 Alternatively we can solve this issue on a commercial base, simply send an email to support@veyon.io.

    Hi Thomas,

SSO is currently not supported so you'll either have to allow anonymous bind for read-only operations at your server or create a dedicated account for readonly access. As of Veyon 4.1 all passwords in the registry are not saved in plaintext any longer so at least they cannot be read out at first glance.

Implementing SSO in general would be a quite huge task, especially when doing this for all supported platforms so if there's a sponsor we could possibly work on it.

Setting configuration keys containing JSON data requires the data type to be specified as the last argument:

    veyon-ctl config set DesktopServices/PredefinedPrograms '[{......}]' json
