@Deps02 if you select a single computer before clicking the remote control button in the toolbar this computer will be opened automatically. You can also configure Veyon so that double clicking a computer automatically opens remote control, see the "Feature on double click" option at http://docs.veyon.io/en/latest/admin/reference.html#behaviour for details.

I forgot: it would be great if I could also block the mouse pointer of a client when I control it.

Please use our official PPA at https://launchpad.net/~veyon/+archive/ubuntu/stable which will allow you to install Veyon easily with all dependencies.

Would be feasible but due to limited development ressources this has no priority at the moment. If this is still important for you, you can contact us through support@veyon.io and request a quote to get this implemented and/or provide a customized screen lock plugin.

@Christoph-M thank you for your suggestions! Internet access control will be available as a commercial addon later this year and availably to subscribers for free. We expect both Veyon 4.2 and the addons to be available before summer holidays so deploying it during the summer holidays should be possible. Limited file transfer support (only uni-directional from teacher to students) will be available in Veyon 4.2 but it initially will lack configuration possibilities.

Hi @curtis you can enable the setting "Enforce selected mode for client computers" in the master settings, see https://docs.veyon.io/projects/admin-manual/en/latest/reference.html#behaviour for details. This will Veyon Master tell clients to switch to the designated mode on every (re-)connect.

I use Veyon at home as a console for all my Virtual Machines (instead of having to run VMWare console or VNC or RDP). It's great.

Hi Marco, I reply in English so that everyone can understand the post - I hope that's OK with you. Adding status overlay icons is a nice suggestion. We'll think about it even though it probably won't be implemented in the short term except there's a code contribution or sponsored development. At least the current active feature(s) is always displayed in the tooltip of a computer so if unsure either look at the tooltip or simply click the "Overview" button in the toolbar (again) which will always stop any active features on all computers. The same applies for locking input devices only without blaking the screen. We hope to have this in Veyon 5. Running the demo mode on computers which no users are logged on is not possible and technically very difficult so it's very unlikely to find a solution here. Best regards Tobias
