I have noticed the same thing. Also, when you copy and past the "@" symbol everything works as well. The program adds an extra, unseen character before the "@".

Can you try to add another dependency to the service by running the following command at the command line (requires admin privileges):
sc config VeyonService depend= tcpip/rpcss/lanmanworkstation/lsm/dnscache
This adds the lanmanworkstation and dnscache services as dependencies.
Also try to upgrade the clients to Veyon 4.9.8.
