    Hi there

I want to setup a classroom environment where the students are using a RDP connection to our VDI to access their Windows VMs.
So I've installed the Veyon Master on the teacher VM and the Veyon Service an all Student VMs.
Unfortunately I can just see the Windows logon window. But from the Master I cannot get into the students user session to support them. So it looks like that it's not possible to use a shared connection.

    Any advice is much appreciated.
Does Veyon support only access to native clients? Because it's working okay, if I install it on a native Windows notebook.

    Looking forward to your replies.
    Matthias

      Hi Matthias,

for remote desktop sessions, you'll multi session support in Veyon which currently is only implemented as a draft for Windows. See my previous post at https://veyon.nodebb.com/topic/802/multi-session-support-at-windows-10/2 for possible solutions.

      Best regards

      Tobias

@Matthias said in Connect to RDP session in VDI:

ely I can just see the Windows logon window.

        @tobydox
Is this something that should now be working in the current stable release?
As I am currently seeing it operate, it's still the same and even w/ the environment variable set, it's only taking me to the login screen instead of showing me the active session

          Hi @Matthias, @NJKirchner
the documentation regarding multi session support has been updated: https://docs.veyon.io/en/latest/admin/reference.html#refmultisessionmode and https://docs.veyon.io/en/latest/admin/configuration.html#conflocationsandcomputers Please note that multi session support is still experimental and will be improved in the next 4.4.x releases. There'll also be an add-on for full VDI support in Q1/2021.

@tobydox Thanks for your work on this. Your post references 4.4.x and I'm currently using 4.7.4. I've read the articles you linked to and still cannot get Veyon to see into PCs that are being accessed via RDP.

My setup: 12 physical PCs for students and one for the teacher. Everyone is remote, even the teacher. Teacher connects and uses Veyon to monitor the students. Students connect via AnyDesk or Remote Desktop. We prefer AnyDesk but sometimes have to fallback on RDP. The teacher cannot monitor the RDP students.

In Configurator, I set up the Computers as "192.168.1.100:11101" for example. I've tried 11102, 03, etc. and still have no luck.

Is there more? What am I missing?
