ldap authorized user groups to restrict access not working in 4.10.2

After upgrading from v4.9.6.1 to v4.10.2.0, the active directory user group I use to restrict access to computers in Veyon no longer works.
I can sign in to my master computer and authenticate as a member of this group. And I can test the user group access on my classroom machines. And it verifies properly the members of this group so my LDAP settings appear to still be correct. But my master computer still has "Authentication failed or access denied" when viewing the remote computers.
If I switch to "Grant access to every authenticated user" then remote management it works fine.
And if I uninstall 4.10.2.0 and go back to 4.9.6.1, and configure Veyon with the same configuration file, it works again.
Has anyone else been experiencing this issue after upgrading?
