Configuring Veyon Master for Classroom Management in UCS@school
-
Hello everyone,
We are currently using UCS@school and have integrated a Veyon Proxy for classroom management. Here’s our setup:
Teachers: Veyon Master installed Students: Veyon Client installed
Our goal is to allow teachers to lock student PCs through the Veyon Master without displaying the default lock screen. Instead, we want the students to see their regular desktop environment, while the teacher can still take control of the student PC via the "Remote Control" button. This means students would not be able to make any inputs, but their screen remains visible to them. Alternatively, it would also be acceptable if the "Remote Control" button could immediately disable the input devices on the student PCs.
Currently, we can lock input devices through the UCS@school Web GUI, but this does not allow for remote control of the devices. On the other hand, using the Veyon Master, we can remotely control the devices, but cannot lock the input devices.
Has anyone managed to configure Veyon in this way with the version used in UCS@school? If so, could you share your setup or any tips on how to achieve this configuration?
Thanks in advance for your help!
