remote control of PCs with an older version of Veyon than the master
-
I asked this question because I have a PC (it's a PC to be controlled remotely) with a very old version of Windows 10 (and which I can't update). So I found out that the latest version of Veyon (currently 4.8.3) cannot be installed on the PC in question. So, as recommended by the download page, I installed Veyon 4.7.5. However, the latest version of Veyon is installed on the master workstation. This way I can't control the PC remotely. In the Veyon Master screen, the PC to be controlled remotely appears in red (authentication failed or access denied). Is there anything I can do or will it never work?

That seems strange to me since last year I installed Veyon Master and 34 computers with Windows 10 and they worked perfectly, this year I deleted the student profiles and created them again and Veyon is working there on 34 computers of standard non-administrator users.
Now it says that your Windows 10 is old and that you cannot perform updates, unless your Windows is cracked. and that he has problems. -
If it is to control a single computer, I would not use Veyon, I would use Tightvnc, a server and a client, and you can put it to only view or control remotely, and there it does not matter if your Windows is old or cracked, it should work perfectly. visit tightvnc.com
