    @JanRys said in mass login does not work:

    Hello, if all users are already pre-selected (they dont usually change), just put password into name line and at least one random letter into password line (doesnt matter).
    All computers in my class has only one user pre-selected, because only students are working on those PCs. If there was another user before, i have to manually log in.

    it works perfectly! Thank you so much!

      Hi! I'm encountering a similar issue. The challenge I face is with client machines that run Linux and have multiple desktop environments. When attempting a mass login (or even an individual login), the clients switch to the "select desktop environment" option rather than proceeding with the login. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

        @JanRys With your tip, mass login works. However, there are some PCs on which the login function does not work, either individually or massively. I honestly have no idea what it could be since they have the same hardware.

          @nicovon It usually fails when user tries to put password in while i am sending the mass login so i have to send it again.

            Hi, I performed the mass login when there was no student trying to enter the password to enter the account. So in my case I don't understand what it is due to.

              @JanRys Good morning, this morning all the PCs logged in. Well, I don't know why... maybe I entered a longer password?

                  @JanRys OK, I'll also try inserting just one character to see if it works the same.
                  Meanwhile I have another problem. On the PCs to be controlled and also on the master there are two accounts: student and admin.
                  I need to massively log in as admin but currently all the stations to control are using the student account. Is there a way to successfully log in with the admin account even if it is not the last account used?

                      @JanRys are you referring to this?
                      It doesn't work to me either. Do you think I have to open a issue on Github?

                        @nicovon Yes, logging another account doesnt work for me too, didnt find a way around. I am waiting on new version of Veyon with hope that its all fixed.

                          @nicovon
                          To correctly use Veyon log-in feature, you have to hide last signed in users via "Local Security Policy" or editing the Registry:

                          https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/how_to_hide_last_signed_in_users_in_windows_10.html#:~:text=Open Local Security Policy by,t display last signed-in.

                          Once you have done it, remember that to login you have to enter both username and password.

                          Have a nice day.

                            Sorry, this works for Windows PCs, but I don't understand what OS are you using on students PCs. Linux?

                                @nicovon You are welcome!
                                So hiding last signed in users via "Local Security Policy" or regedit should works.

                                  @Carlo yes, it works very well and I thank you but.. when the students log in they will also have to enter their username and since these students are all not very skilled in using the PC, I would prefer to avoid...

                                    @nicovon
                                    Yes you are right, I understand you!
                                    To avoid this I use only a username for all students for all classes implementing the "auto login" feature.
                                    So that when I turn on or restart the PCs the user "student" will automatically login.
                                    With many usernames, the only solution I found is to login the students from Veyon itself before every lesson starts.

                                    Have a nice day!

                                      @Carlo That solution isn't good in my case, because I'm not always present in the laboratory and I can't always log the students.
