    Hi, all.

I've had this odd item pop up again.

I'm using Veyon with Computer Locations set via Computer Groups in AD.
In general, I haven't had many issues with this aside from Active Directory being in the master being quite slow if setup for computer locations.

I've recently added additional computers into existing groups, but what is odd, is none of the new devices are being seen by Veyon. The existing computers work without issue but none of the added ones to the security group are seen when doing a search. So, the group might have 20 computers, but only 9 are visible in Veyon. If I log into AD all the computers are in the same group, and I can't see any difference between them.

Would this be something with AD? or the way Veyon is doing the lookups?
Does it matter if the Security Groups are Global or Universal?

    Thanks!

      Hello,
Does your new computers are in the same LDAP tree? Have you check recursive search?

Hi, Yep. Literally all the computers are in the same groups / same OU / same tree.
They all were visible last major version, and after the update only about half are now visible within Veyon if I flag Veyon to use the AD as the backend for rooms. I've seen this before a few years ago, but it seemed to fix itself after they got updated at some point.

That is why I'm not sure if this is a Veyon caching or timeout issue, or something else entirely.
When starting veyon with AD as its room / backend the bootup does take quite a while, I am assuming its running through the LDAP/AD search.
