    Hi,

since we have updated our windows10 clients (including KB5028166 from 11st July), we can no longer connect to them with veyon.
A message appear on the client that says that the user "xxx" tried to connect with no success.
When we remove this KB5028166, we connect again.

We have been using veyon successfully for years now, and our configuration is tried and tested.
Our workstations are under Windows10, on an AD domain (Samba4) and run veyon 4.8.1.

Is there a solution or a workaround ?

    Thx,
    mat

    Bonjour,

    merci,
    mat

I am having the same problem! Spent the last couple hours trying to troubleshoot to no avail, making me think that this is certainly update related. We have been using Veyon successfully for years as well, this is the first hiccup we've ever had and haven't made any configuration changes. Any suggestions from the Veyon team?

        Hi,
It appears that Microsoft has made some undocumented changes in its latest update KB5028166 which break the authentication process with Samba4 AD controllers .
        https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15418

So, let's wait next samba compiled packet for our distributions ?

          Hi,
I juste made the upgrade from debian10 to debian11, and upgraded samba4 in version 4.18. (4.18.4 exactly)
          Now all works just fine.

Interesting, that's good news @grima! I don't suppose you happen to know anything about the status of a Windows 11/Server 2019 patch?

No...I guess you've updated cliens and server ?
Now, knowing my own case, It's amazing that in a full micro$oft environment, you've also this problem.
