Distributing large files
-
Hi,
I'm currently trying to semi-automtically transfer a zip file to all student PCs, move it to a different folder, extract it and later delete it. Everything except the transfer works well using Veyon in combination with batch files.
The transfer itself works well enough, but for some reason it is really slow. All of our rooms have at least 100 MBit/s switches (and file downloads from the internet have decent speed).
What I tried to distribute were:
100 MB zip file - took about 4 minutes. (Slightly less on one PC slightly more distruting to 6 PCs at the same time.) This would be ~3 mbit/s1400 MB zip file: This is what we need for exams. Right now the transfer is at 10% after 50 minutes (progressing at a constant low speed: Maybe around 0.4 mbit/s, give or take).
Small update: I tried to send the big file to a single PC and got about 5 mbit/s in bandwith.Any idea what could be the cause and how to speed this up? And why the big file takes 9 times longer?
Thanks in advance.
FelixEdit: Using Veyon 4.4.0 if this is relevant.
