Black screen on 4.8.0

Hello, I have installed the new version 4.8.0 in my ICT classroom. However, I have a black screen on all computers. Veyon detects the logged in user, however that is the end of it. I have the same configuration in a second ICT classroom on an older version of Veyon and it runs fine there. Do you know where the problem could be?

I have the same problem too. Black screen on login.
Computers without password are fine but
screen goes black on logout.

I have nothing much to add other than "me too". 4.8.0 Master shows black screens on all computers with 4.8.0, but with the new master and clients with the old 4.7.5 version, it works fine.

@jsyben Unfortunately not for me.
With Master 4.8.0 and clients 4.7.5 I get clients black-flashing screens. -
I downgraded to 4.7.5 and everything works fine.

Same here. When I updated two clients to 4.8.0, they were shown red ("permission denied") in the master client. But interestingly 4.7.5 clients are still correctly displayed on a 4.8.0 master, als @jsyben already mentioned.
Because of these problems, I have downgraded all installations to 4.7.5 again and will wait for a fix/an update.

@sedmakj Have you or anyone on this thread have difficulties with the master just showing the clients lock screen? It shows no user is logged on when a user is logged in. Am I missing something?

@bennyp Hi, I had problems on the lock screen as well. I couldn't see the lock screen. However, the new version will read the user and display it. However, the screen is constantly black. I even tried turning on remote control and doing something, but nothing happened.

Hi all, we confirm that this is a regression in Veyon 4.8.0 – likely introduced by the UltraVNC update in from 1.3.8.2 to 1.4.2.0. We're working on solving this problem and will ship 4.8.1 with an appropriate bug fix as soon as possible.

As a quick solution before 4.8.1 is being released officially, here are intermediate builds which include a bug fix for the black screen bug:

Black screen here too, but only with one host, when UAC prompt pops up. (If I search for the intermediate build version number, no hit with this thread.)

The version 4.8.0.4 have resolved the problem of black screen. But I realised that we can not login a session for multiple computers. Is there a bug for this function too?
