Good morning, at the school where I work they replaced the PCs. I reinstalled Veyon and it was working... but unfortunately, I have now moved from a subnet to the main network and we are having conflicts. The network administrator won't give me permission to set static IPs again. I would like to know if there is a possibility to use it without IP addresses, but using other identifiers instead... like the MAC address or the hostname?

It depends on your setup, I suppose? I'm on active directory and putting the FQDN in the host address/ip field works great. This obviously requires that your host computer and end user computers are registering/polling local DNS to translate the names to ip addresses.

Hi, there is not any server...
        no active directory.
I can't have the access to the server and also to the router
After having tried the addon ... that in the free mode has a limited time of use, i found another solution.
(The addon was very expensive...for my school)

the solution is putting the hostname in the section NAME and also in address host/ip

so for example pc01 and pc01 instead of ip adress
this solution works with dynamic ip
