Delay before I can remote control

The exact same thing happens to me. When I try to open a student to view it, it freezes for a period of time varying between 10 and 40 seconds. This didn't happen to me before, and I've been using Veyon for many years. Does anyone know why this might be?

I've had the same for a while now. Version 4.9.0 on the client and up through 4.9.8 on the master. I'll upgrade the client on Monday to see if that resolves the problem (can't RDP into it and can't get to that building today).

I should mention that I'm using the UltraVNC that comes with the installer, I'd be happy to use a different VNC if that would fix the issues.

Also this is Windows 11 EDU 24h2 on both computers, all MS updates, etc.

No different in 4.9.8, still a fairly larger delay between when I take remote control and when the screen shows live video.

Still getting a lot of artifacting when I do things like install software, not all portions of the display refresh so it leaves big black areas. Both of these problems started when I upgraded, but I'm not sure which upgrade did this. I know 4.5.x worked for a long time, I don't have any 4.6 stored, and a few 4.7 and 4.8.

I think I'm going to step back through time to see if my issues improve.

@Trinity503 No change for me. Running 4.10.4 on client and master and still experiencing random delays when trying to remote control. Sometimes it's seamless, other times 10-30+ seconds before I can control the remote client.

Same for us with Veyon, from version 4.9.7 through 4.10.4

Good news: we were able to reproduce and fix this issue. It will be fixed in 4.11.1 later this week
