File Transfer - can't set alternate destination folder
-
Hello:
We are using Veyon 4.8.3 with key file authentication on Windows 10 64bit, fully updated. We can use the file transfer successfully, but only to the default folder of c:\users\student (student is the account on the client machines). In the advanced file transfer settings we have tried every imaginable combination of destination paths, including the recognized path variables (%HOME%, %DOCUMENTS%, %DOWNLOADS%, etc.), but still the file transfers to the root of the user account. This problem also exists on Veyon 4.8.2, and clean installs have been used. Is this feature functionable or we doing something wrong? Thank you.

Hello,
I am also having this issue. Windows 11 64 bit with ldap integration for console and clients. I am trying to set the file destination inside Veyon Configurator (advanced settings) to be "c:\users\public\desktop" but it insists on putting any files transferred to the currently logged in user profile directory (%HOME%).Anyone have a fix for this?

Update:
My mistake. I was trying to configure this on the main console / instructor computer. Didn't realize I have to change the destination file transfer path in the configuration on each separate client. That being said it still gives an error that the public desktop folder is not writeable. But I can work around that. Just wanted to provide an update in case anyone else has the same brain fart that I did.
