problem with demo
-
I wish I could help. I've been having the same problem and haven't been able to find a solution. It worked fine last school year. When I returned at the start of the year, it no longer worked but all the other features did (lock, remote control, power down). I have two monitors and when I switched the HDMI cable from my wide-screen monitor to a different port, it suddenly worked again.
It worked fine for a few weeks and then out of the blue, demo mode stopped working again, about three weeks ago. Since that time, I have not been able to get it to work consistently. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, verifying the port numbers in the configurator, etc. Our site-based tech got it to work briefly, but the minute he left my classroom, it stopped working again. LOL. It hasn't worked since, but it's somewhat helpful to know that it's not just me that this is happening to.

Hi,
If you updated veyon version on each computer, it may be possible that veyon configurator was not updated correctly on all computers ( I experienced this problem with 4.8.2 64bits)
I solved the problem by uninstalling veyon on all computers including master, and reinstalling on all computers including master and it worked properly after that.
Make sure you save the veyon configuration from veyon configurator first.
Good luck -
I finally got mine to work without having to reinstall on all the student computers. In the past, I have always set up the master computer and student computers as logon authentication instead of key authentication. A fellow teacher told me to use key authentication. I updated the key for good measure, imported the new key on each of the student computers, and changed to key authentication on master and clients and all seems to be working great now - including demo!

I had the same issue with demo. I finally found a solution :
In veyon-configurator, in "access rules" (my version is french, maybe the translation isn't exactly correct), I checked "Grant access to all logon users", and now, demo is working back.
I moved from ldap groups auth to key authentication sometimes ago, and I had "allow specific groups" checked, remaining from this former config.
Hope it can help you
Regards
