Veyon 4.8.1 not all classroom's PC became visible after reboot command.
-
Hi, I installed Veyon 4.8.1 and if I run the reboot command to all my classroom pcs, once they become ready, many don't show up again in the Master's window. Only a few show themselves online, the others stay gray offline. I have to force refresh with F5 to have all PCs visible again in the Master window.
My students' PCs run Windows 11 Home x64 latest build.
The master PC runs on Windows 10 Pro x64 latest build.
Lan Ethernet speed is at 100 Mbps.Only when I rolled back the Master machine to Veyon version 4.7.4 then all worked without forcing refresh.
Seems that the issue has started from version 4.7.5 where the VNC service version was updated.
I have tried Master on 3 different machines with Windows and also on one with Ubuntu 22.04 (Mint).
Thanks.Carlo.

Hi and sorry for the late answer.
I setup two labs with Windows 10 master 4.8.2 and students with 4.7.4 and seems that the issue comes only random with few clients.
So at this very moment seems to works, but I want to get students machine to 4.8.2 and see what happens.
If i don't get wrong seems that from version 4.7.4 vnc server was upgraded and maybe the issue is there.
Have a good day! -
Hello, I am facing similar issue.
2 weeks go I updated Veyon on all computers to the newest version (4.8.2). Usually almost all computers load in Veyon Master before logging in. After logging in some computers disappear. They usually appear after cca 10 minutes. I tried to search how to get a log file to see some error messages, but didnt find any. I also tried to disable antivirus on both client and master PCs, without success. -
Hi @fra-sa @esaurel
In one lab, I finished updating all my clients to Veyon 4.8.2, and for some students, the issue is still present.
At this very moment, the lab is wired with both the Windows 10 x64 master and student computers connected at 1 GB/s.
I opened an issue on github here:https://github.com/veyon/veyon/issues/895.
In the meantime, hitting F5 refreshes the correct student status.
Have a good day.
