    Hello,
I see that Veyon 4.1 is out and has many improvements over 4.0, especially on linux.

Is there a doc about how to update?

If not, are those roughly the steps:

    • remove old method of autostarting veyon-service (i had those in xdg )
    • install the rpm with software management of system (zypper in my case)

My question: Will the old configs be kept, or will I have to start from scratch?
    2nd question: Can I mix installations of 4.0 and 4.1 ?

    Regards,

    Andreas

      Hello @Andreas-Goebel
the steps you described are correct and sufficient. The configuration should be kept on an upgrade. If unsure, export it before upgrading so you can import it in case something goes wrong. You can't mix 4.0 and 4.1 computers as we had to change the network protocol for the changes regarding authentication keys.

        Thank you!

Does this mean that I will need new keys (I refer to the changes regarding authentication keys you mentioned), or can I keep the old ones?

        Regards,

        Andreas

You don't have to renew the keys - the existing ones will continue to work.
