Veyon can't handle OUs with to many objects

If I in Veyon Configurator 4.30, below "LDAP Basic / Environment settings / Object trees "

sets "User tree" to our user OU (containing +5000 users accounts) - "OU=Users,OU=EDU,OU=NYN"
    I'll get the error:
    "LDAP user tree test failed"
"Could not query any entries in configured user tree. Please check the parameter 'User tree'""

but if I instead point "User tree" to our test OU (with only 4 accounts) - "OU=Testkonton,OU=Users,OU=EDU,OU=NYN"
    I'l get:
    "LDAP user tree test successful"
"The user tree has been queried successfully and 4 entries were found"

We are using Veyon 4.30 and Microsoft Active Directory
