A patch release is available for the Veyon 4.1 series which contains major improvements to the builtin UltraVNC server on Windows as well as important bug fixes:
- UltraVNC: integrate DeskDupEngine to improve performance on Windows 10
- UltraVNC: improve security/performance and optimize size by removing non-required code and features
- UltraVNC: fix querying of session ID
- Configurator: trim whitespaces from host and MAC addresses when using copy&paste
- Configurator: also remove Veyon-related log files in C:\Windows\Temp when clearing log files
- Linux: implement screen saver and monitor power saving control
- Linux: fix missing multitouch input device support for VNC server
- Linux: do not start user session in PAM-based authentication helper
- Windows: add helper batch files for interception driver installation
- Windows: update OpenSSL library to 1.1.1
- Windows: update Qt5 library
- Demo: always disable screen saver and monitor standby during demo
- Master: run features from toolbar for filtered computers only
- Access control: fix non-working condition which checks common groups of connecting and local user
- Remote access: properly display computer name in window title when launched via CLI
- Misc: update internal libvncserver library to fix various security issues in the VNC client
- Misc: fix metadata of some plugins
- Misc: optimize source tarball size by dropping non-required 3rdparty files
